Apostle Avery V. Cotton

               CHIEF APOSTLE AVERY VONTRES COTTON is a man of God for this hour. He was officially affirmed Chief Apostle and Consecrated a Bishop in the Lord’s Church on May 22, 2021. Operating under a mighty mantle of prayer his ministry is earmarked by a clearly preached word, prophetic vision, and strong deliverances.

A fifth-generation preacher, Apostle Cotton’s itinerant ministry began in 1996 under the leadership of his grandfather Apostle Kenneth Davis, Sr., in Wichita Kansas. His ministry was tested and tried upon its own merits and not just because of his spiritual lineage. As a minister in training, Apostle Cotton was instructed by God to meet him on the altar for prayer while cleaning the church, God told him while in prayer, that he wanted to teach him how to pray while birthing the sound of prayer. Over time, while praying, he found fervor, intensity, and His passion for ministry.

When encountering Apostle Cotton’s ministry, the preached word is one of encouragement. The prayers are effective and the deliverance is eternal. A gift to the body of Christ, to Apostles, to many Bishops, to Pastors, to Overseers, and to ministry gifts nationwide. Apostle Cotton’s ministry is one that ushers in a paradigm shift, stirs up dormant gifts, and restores order to the house of God with a reverence for the things of God. In 2012 after much prayer, counsel, and many prophetic utterances, Apostle Cotton established Bethesda Temple International Church. This community of believers has committed themselves to impact generations by releasing revival and calling for restoration within the region of Washington, D.C.
